Old year ending and new to begin.

Well, its been awhile since I have done any blogging, I see it on my computer and said I need to blog but then sign off and oh well.

Its hard to believe we are end another year and looking forward to a new one, 2010 wow! As a kid I can remember thinking I would never be this old to see 2010 or beyong, well here I am.

We had a nice trip over Thanksgiving we flow out to Anderson CA to see family was good trip, Carrie went out too for a week and Christian came up from Oakland. Was good to have us all together it has been awhile for that. There were 18 of us at Mom's for Thanksgiving dinner was great time, sharing memories and making new one. Weather was good for us Minnesotans in the 50's & 60's we were loving it. Virgil and I drove over to coast after kids went back home, we ran into fog on the coast we spent night in Ft Bragg, didn't get chance to walk the beach just to damp and foggy. I do love to watch the wave and listen to the ocean so still was good time.

Then when we got back home it turn cold here we now have lots of snow and cold oh well its Minnesota. We had nice Christmas Carrie and Mike were out on the 23rd for dinner and open presents, they were leaving on Christmas day for a Jamaica Holiday. Bet they are having a great time enjoying to sun and the beach, we are keeping Sam for them, he and Maxie get alone good. So instead of having one dog under my feet and following me from room to room I have two. They are great company and I love them both.

Things a M&G are slow, but pray will begin to pick up going into the new year. We are hanging in there, I'm trusting God to see us through what ever comes our way.

Well need to go and do the morning dishes, and run to Cambrigde I need more yarn to finsh my lap afgaina.

Happy New Year to all and God Bless us all in 2010.

Its Monday

Its been over a month since I've done any blogging, so I thought I'd do some today. Its a cold and windy day here in Isanti MN today it really feels like Fall. Update on Virgil health he didn't have to have surgery on his shoulder, but now has started physical therapy went last week for 1st visit and will go again next week for two visits. His physical therapist gave him exercises to do at home and told him to stop using his arm so much. Which is almost impossible to him to do, but he trying to not too.

I had my first dance class on the 15th of Sept, its was fun my tap shoes fit so they'll put the taps on them. Really not to sure about this hip hop but I'm looking at it as exercise so that's good. I didn't make the second class last Tuesday didn't feel good so didn't go. Will be going tomorrow, I will be joining a different class in November its closer in Cambridge at the Willowbridge Center.
I found it on the website, its called In His Steps Ballet and I spoke to the teacher and I really feel this is more what I'm looking for in taking the dance classes.

I do get some sad news over the weekend, my uncle Lee Roy Harrell passed away on Sat night he was married to my Aunt Norma (my dad's sister). I had thought about going down to Oklahoma but its not going to possible, they are have service on Tuesday 29th and I just can't get there that quick. He was a very special man, as a kid I was a little afraid of him he was so tall and big and he tease me all the time, but he tease all the nieces and nephew. I began to feel if he didn't tease you he didn't like you. He was a very gentle man, quite and kind he love to hunt and fish, he was one to the guys my grandpa Ballard would go coon hunting with they had dogs and seem like they were gone just about every weekend. He love to fish too and he could tell stories, I love to listen to him tell his stories. He will be missed, he has a very special place in my heart and memories.

I'm in the misdt of plan and getting ready for our Califorina trip over Thanksgiving holiday, looking forward to seeing the family and hopfly seeing Christian as well. I've been checking on the Amtrac to get him to Sacramento, so he can come up north for the holiday. Will be nice break for us, Carrie will also be flying out with us so will be great to have family together.

Well, thats all for now will keep all inform of our lives. God Bless all who stops by to catch on us. Deborah :)

New Adventure

Well, I did it I sign up for a dance class, yes I did! I've loved to dance have since I was little girl when I would dance with my Daddy. I grow up around people who love to dance, I watch my aunts and uncles dance, Mom & Dad too! I remember being at Grandma Ballard's and watching American Bandstand with my Aunts Karen and Sharon and dancing around the living room. Was great fun!!!!!

As a little girl I dream of being a great dancer, just being graceful and moving with the beat of the music was my dream, being one with music. Dancing lessons weren't in our budget as I was growing up so I just listen to the music and move along with it. Watched my family dance and watch movies and copied the moves.

When Carrie was little she wanted to be in dance so we put her in dance through the park system the Mpls. She had great fun, (I hope she did) have the cutes picture of her in her costume for the recital. She and our neighbors daughter Jody dance together, they did it for couple of years then they didn't offer it anymore. Wonder if Carrie remember any of the tab dance steps?

Well, like I said I signed up with a studio in North Branch, about 20 minutes from home for Tap dance and Hip Hop. First session begins 9/15/09 order tab shoes so here I go into an new adventure of making a childhood dream come true.

They have other types of dance classes too, but can't seem to get Virgil interest in going with me. Maybe some day. Will keep the updates coming on how it goes. I think we all should try to make our dreams and density come true if we can, as they say nothing ventured nothing gain.

God Bless all,
Deborah

Swallow of Long Lake

As you can see by the picture above that we have swallows who seem to love our new pontoon. Seems after we put the boat in the water (or I should say after Virgil put the boat in the water I was in Nicaragua then in Ca when this event happen), thinking he would be using it, but like weather here in MN it turn cold in May and so the boat set on the lift and didn't move. Well with out our permission a swallow couple built a nest under the platform to the boat. With me being gone all that time and him working the boat didn't move. So what's a bird to think Wow great place for new home to bring up babies.

The things is I love to watch birds and all the wildlife here on the lake, so we left the nest and just used the boat and they seem okay with us taking it out and the nest stay they welcome us back each time we when out. The problem we now seem to have is the pontoon has be come the place to be if your a swallow. The numbers began to grow from just the 8 in the nest to 10,12,15 and this morning when I got up there seem be so many more.

When I told Virgil about all the birds I told him it reminder me of the Alford Hitchcock movie the Birds, the screen where the lady is setting on the bench with the jungle gym and the school behind her with only a few birds setting on the jungle gym, then more and more keep coming and when she looked back the whole things was cover. Well, with that I'm off the to get a plastic owl to put on the boat. Virgil and I had talked about getting an plastic owl to put on the boat, but never did. BUT that now will change.

I got one and it now sets on the boat, will need to move it around every few days but that I can do. So we will see what happens, I really don't mind the ones that are nest under the boat but they just need to not have friends over.

While I'm blogging here is update on Virgil, he is back to work full time he's in his 2nd week so far so good. He still has lots of aches and pain but its just been 4 weeks today since the accident and the healing will take some time still use pain meds now and again. He is still have problems with the left shoulder, will need to make a follow up appointment with his VA Doctor to have her check it out. His birthday is Friday the 7th so glad he is here to celebrate it! Carrie will be coming out for the weekend, for her Dads birthday and to spend time at the lake. Mike and Sam (the dog) will not be coming with they are having a boys weekend with his pals up north. Carrie is bring one of her friends out so looking forward to meeting her. Should be great weekend they keep tell us weather is going to be warmer sure hope so. I'm really missing the summer weather and the sunshine.

Well need to go and get some dinner started. God bless who come to read my chatter! Deborah :)

August 1st

Well here we are in the last month of summer and its still not here! Another cool day with more clouds than sun. Was up early watch the wildlife on the lake, the birds and squirrels were up early. Virgil slept in this morning so we had late breakfast which he fixed, (he does eggs better than I do).

I love this morning when we just take time to talk, we talked about family and what is going on with everyone. We talked about work and his plans (will go in this morning for few hours). We talked about our future plans, when building is sold, we sell business and then are completely retired. Where to live what to keep, to stay here for more west? Sell both houses, keep lake home, some many questions so many plans, If this happens we can do this, if that happens we will do that.

He said he is still on track with his 5 year plan for us and the business, we just have to hang tough through the slow down of the economic. I have full confidence that God will see us though it all, he is our supply. There is no resection in Heaven! I want to live in His Kingdom economic. I thank him for his meeting our needs in all things. He is a Good God all the time!!

Now to change the subject, I finally got a few picture of the birdbath being used, by birds and squirrel as well. May all who read these thought be bless and have a great weekend where ever you are. God bless you, Deborah :)

Thanks

I wanted to thank my friends who stop by to encourage me. I truly appreciate it! Its so good to know that you have friends who pray for you and with you, weather they are across the street or across the sea, they are there with you.

Its cool here again, but the sun was shining this morning when I got up to geese in the front yard and finches at the feeders. I truly love living on the Lake! I put out a birdbath which really doesn't make much sense the I live on a lake, but yesterday one to the gold finches was taking a drink and that made my day :)

Its time to go spend some time with the Lord, may all have a great day and be bless were every you are this day the Lord has given. Deborah :)

Stretching Deborah

Well, here goes not sure who will be interested in what I have to say, but can't hurt to get it out there. Life the last few weeks have be really strange. Virgil had an motorcycle accident, who I just Thank God he is okay and still with me. Last night was the first time he had put into words what I had been feeling. He said that when he hit the ground and the then couldn't breath that he was afraid that he might not be able to breath again. For that moment reality hit and his life could have been done! Then when he came to stop next to car and he was alive he called me to tell me he would be late for dinner!!!!! Thank You God!!!!! There are still some feeling that are still not easier to talk about, but in time we will.

He's back to work full days, but is really wipe out when he get home which is understandable. Not taking as many pain pills these days and is able to pull on polo shirt which give him more options for work. His left shoulder is really sore his VA Doctor will be check it out more thoroughly when he goes back in few weeks. She thinks injured his rotator cuff, which makes sense he fall hard on that side.

I'm doing better with the whole thing still dealing with some feelings but God is helping me thought them. Thanks for listening or reading this. God bless ya all.
